While window shopping the gaudy galleries at Las Vegas last weekend, I did not expect to find an artist that I would respond to. As I walked through the Venetian I was stunned by the portrait of girl alive with expression displayed in the Jack Gallery’s store front. The painting evoked timeless beauty as well as contemporary ideas. Anja Van Herle is the artist I was so excited to discover. Haling from Belgium, this Los Angeles based painter, her bio notes, “combines a European Sense of High fashion … with an American sense of wonder.” Please enjoy these pics I snagged with my iPhone 4. What’s up yall!! This is Rocko Lucianizzle Editor in Chief of Fresh Deliverizzle!!!

So I just purchased /\/\/\Y/\ (MAYA), M.I.A.’s newest albums from iTunes and I am beyond satisfied. There is a great article of her in SPREAD magazine that I recommend reading. She has sustained a strong career with her unique sound, and has managed to stay true to her strong opinion and cross over into mainstream music. I am definitely choreographing to at least one of these tracks!

We are featuring an exciting musician in our first issue dropping September 1. Follow our journey and you’ll be the first to know who it is :D
